Fundraising success!



 

Nearly £600 raised from wrapping Christmas Presents!

In the 5 days of the week running up to Christmas 2004 the group, in association with Newport Amnesty International raised a total of £585.33 by wrapping presents at Ottakers Bookshop in Commercial St, Newport. The idea of wrapping books for people at Christmas was tested by the Newport Amnesty group 2 years ago. As an appreciation of the efforts made by their members in this joint effort over a quarter of this money will go to the Amnesty group.
